Your account

You can sign in with email and password and Google. Keep your credentials to yourself: anything done through your account is treated as done by you.

Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it current. We can suspend or close an account that is used to break these terms.

You can close your account from within the site whenever you like.

What you submit

You can submit reviews, ratings and the rankings you build. It stays yours. You give us permission to store it and to display it publicly on the site, and nothing more.

By submitting it you confirm it is yours to submit: that you made it, or you have permission from whoever did, and that publishing it breaks nobody else’s rights.

Anything you post publicly can be read, copied and quoted by anyone who visits. Do not post something you would mind a stranger keeping.

We can remove submissions that break these terms, and we are not obliged to keep a copy of anything you delete.

Acceptable use

• Do not break the law, or use the site to help anyone else break it.
• Do not post someone else’s work as your own, or anything you do not have the right to publish.
• Do not harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, and do not post material that sexualises a minor.
• Do not attack the site: no scraping at a rate that degrades it, no probing for holes, no attempting to reach data that is not yours.
• Do not use the site to send unsolicited bulk messages.

The Sauce List participates in the Amazon Associates Program and earns a commission when you buy through a link here. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not change what appears on the site or in what order.

The retailer, not us, sells you the product. Their terms cover the sale, the delivery, the warranty and the return.

Accuracy of what you read here

The sauce write-ups, tasting summaries and heat descriptions here are generated by software from published listing data. Prices, availability and specifications change without us knowing, so treat everything on this site as a starting point and check the manufacturer or retailer before you buy.

Nothing on this site is a review. Nobody here has used, tested or handled any product written about, no page ranks or scores a product on our own judgement, and any customer rating shown is the retailer’s aggregate of its own buyers.

Our content

The design, text and code of The Sauce List belong to Thomas Ford, except where they belong to someone else and are used with permission. Product names, images and trademarks belong to their owners and appear here to identify what is being described.

You may link to anything here. Republishing the content wholesale is not permitted without asking.

No warranty

The Sauce List is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be available, correct, complete or fit for whatever you have in mind, and we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement to the extent the law lets us.

Limits on what we owe you

To the extent the law allows, Thomas Ford is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising out of your use of this site.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred United States dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, and where that is true of yours, they do not apply to you.

Ending it

You can stop using The Sauce List at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, and we will tell you why unless telling you would itself cause harm.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state and federal courts sitting there.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top moves whenever the meaning does, and a material change is announced on the site rather than made quietly. This version is dated 17 August 2026.
